Our History
Our pub has a rich history dating back to the 19th century, when it was originally built as the Paragon Hotel. Over the years, we've undergone several transformations, including stints as the Isabella Baths, the Van Gogh Pub, and Steptoe's Pub, before finally settling into our current iteration as The Churchill Tavern. Today, we're proud to have earned a reputation as the best country pub in town, twice winning the CAMRA pub of the year award for Thanet.
