Welcome to The Roman Camp Inn, a traditional rural Inn with a friendly atmosphere. Whether you come to us overnight on business, or for a relaxing North Norfolk holiday, you'll find the essentials generously taken care of at this delightfully hospitable small Inn. We want our guests to unwind, explore the beautiful countryside and have a happy and memorable stay.

Our Services

At The Roman Camp Inn, we offer a range of services to make your stay with us as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Our all-day restaurant offers quality home-cooked food made with locally sourced ingredients, and our traditional panelled bar, which has served real local ale since 1894, offers a fabulous range of drinks and a selection of nice wine. In the winter months, you can enjoy our lounge area by the fire, sitting in a comfortable armchair, and in the summer, move outside to our patios and soak up the tranquillity of our traditional English gardens.

We have a selection of 15 en-suite rooms, including 5 traditional first-floor rooms, 10 remaining ground-floor rooms, including 2 accessible rooms, and a family suite. We also have secure cycle storage on site for our guests who enjoy cycling, and ample free parking to the front and rear of the Inn.

In addition to our excellent accommodation and dining facilities, we also have beautifully planted gardens, with roses and lavender, offering tranquillity, perfect for a relaxing meal or drink whilst soaking up the great outdoors.

Our History

The Roman Camp Inn has been designed to be relaxing with a number of unusual features - locally commissioned leaded glass and sculpture, panelled lounge and bar, Latin inscriptions, and pictures relating to local history. Our Inn has been part of the local community for many years, and we take pride in our heritage and tradition.
