Our nurseries in Sparkhill, Saltley, and Balsall Heath provide a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, where children can develop good social skills and an appreciation of all aspects of this country's multi-cultural society. We maintain a personalized record of every child's development, showing their abilities, progress, interests, and areas needing further staff or parental assistance. We also take reasonable steps to support children whose home language is not English, providing opportunities for language development and support for parents at home.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is rooted in the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) set by the Department for Education. We believe that children learn and develop best through play-based activities, both indoors and outdoors. We review all aspects of learning and development, maintaining a flexible approach that responds quickly to children's learning and developmental needs. We develop tailor-made activities based on observations, which inform future planning and draw on children's needs and interests.
Our Commitment
We are committed to supporting parents as primary educators, encouraging parental involvement and building strong home links. We share information about the EYFS curriculum with parents and signpost them to further support through various websites, including the Foundation Years website.
