Young Minds, Free Spirit, Great Future
At Silsden Primary School, we are proud to be a happy and dynamic place to be, with a dedicated and caring staff. Our school is built on mutual respect and care for one another, and is a place where individuals are valued. We believe that every child is unique and deserves the opportunity to flourish, and we work tirelessly to provide a safe and happy learning environment that meets the needs of all our pupils.
Our Vision
Our vision is to empower our children to be the best versions of themselves, equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and values to succeed in an ever-changing world. We believe that our children should be able to make healthy, safe choices, communicate effectively, think creatively and independently, and be confident, resilient, and responsible individuals. We want our children to be excited, enthusiastic, and curious learners who are eager to take on new challenges and explore the world around them.
Our Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed to be engaging, relevant, and challenging, with a focus on developing the whole child. We believe that every child needs a strong foundation in the core subjects of mathematics, reading, and writing, but we also believe that there is more to education than just academic standards. Our curriculum includes a range of subjects, including art, music, physical education, and outdoor education, as well as core topics such as science, history, and geography.
Our Values
We are committed to nurturing Young Minds so that they can Fall in Love With Learning. We provide a safe and happy learning environment for all children, which enables them to develop a Free Spirit and reach their full potential. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive and excel, and we work closely with our parents and the wider school community to achieve this. We are committed to working constructively with our parents and carers to support our children and help them achieve their goals.
Our History
Silsden Primary School has a long and proud history, dating back over 150 years.
