Founded in 1938 by Albert Marsh, a highly skilled engineer with a solid background in various Sheffield industries, our company has a rich history that spans over 83 years.
Our History
Our story began in 1938 when the original company was established by Albert Marsh. Over the years, our company has gone through various transformations, from producing brick linings for refractors to manufacturing armaments during World War II. After the war, we returned to our traditional refractory work, which continued in much the same vein well into the 1950s.
In the 1960s, our company underwent significant changes. Unfortunately, Albert Marsh's health deteriorated, and his son-in-law, Bryant Hall, joined the business to ensure its continuity. Bryant Hall, an accountant, played a crucial role in stabilizing the company financially and expanding its operations. This led to a move to larger premises on Brownell Street.
