Nurturing Young Minds, One Child at a Time.

At Acorn Park, we've been dedicated to providing the highest quality childcare and early education for over 30 years. Our loving, caring, and nurturing environment is designed to help babies, toddlers, and young children thrive. We're proud to be in Partnership with Glasgow City Council, providing up to 1140 hours of funded care and education for eligible children aged 3 and over.

Our stunning Georgian Townhouse in Glasgow's Park area boasts ample space over three floors, as well as private gardens for our little ones to explore. Each floor is tailored to a specific age group, with our babies cared for on the lower ground floor, toddlers on the ground floor, and our older children enjoying the first floor. Our second floor features a free parent Hot Desking space, visitors lounge, and new parents room.

Our Story

Acorn Park was established in 1988 by Mary McDonald, who firmly believed that children need to feel safe, loved, cared for, and happy in order to reach their full potential. This core belief remains at the heart of everything we do. In 1993, Mary's daughter Vari joined the team, and together they built an excellent reputation for providing babies and children with the best possible start in life.

Our Services

We offer a range of services designed to support our children's development and wellbeing. Our outdoor play area is where our children can be found every day, no matter the weather. We believe that outdoor play has a positive impact on self-esteem, physical health, learning, and language skills. We also encourage green fingers, with our allotment and courtyard gardens providing the perfect space for our children to learn about positive environmental messages.

Our environment is a calm and comfortable one, offering responsive care and support. From our littlest babies to our oldest children, you'll find adults who champion their play and learning, providing love, affection, and plenty of cuddles.

Meet Our Team

Our team is comprised of highly skilled and qualified practitioners who are dedicated to providing the very best start for all our children. We believe that the skills, knowledge, attitudes, and qualifications of our practitioners are vitally important in providing high-quality care. Almost all our team are qualified, with some holding degrees. We also have a qualified Additional Support Teacher on hand to guide and assist those children and families who have additional needs.
