Our Team
Our team is comprised of enthusiastic and passionate individuals who are dedicated to making a difference in each and every child's life. We believe that working with children is the most fun and rewarding job, as it allows us to be silly, learn from them, celebrate little successes every day, and be part of their personal and educational growth. We understand that choosing a nursery can be an emotional decision, and we strive to create a 'home from home' environment where you will feel confident leaving your little ones.
Our Facilities
Every room in the nursery is bright and welcoming, and has been designed to test and excite the children. We have a range of rooms that cater to different age groups, including a block play room, a wood workshop, and a cause and effect room. Our outdoor area is also equipped with a variety of play equipment, including a sand pit, a mud kitchen, and a water play area.
Our Approach
At Greenfields Nursery, we pride ourselves in our caring through play, fun and friendship which helps our children develop their early skills. We understand the importance of a healthy and nutritious diet, and we order all our meals from Apetito. We loved having Apetito come to our nursery and play a healthy eating game with us, and all our children enjoy our healthy and nutritious meals.
We are an English medium nursery, but we embrace the fact that we are a nursery in Wales. We celebrate the language, culture, and history of our country through Welsh Circle time, Welsh songs and stories, and Welsh word or phrase of the week. We are registered with the Government tax free scheme, childcare vouchers, and the Welsh Government's Childcare Offer for Wales, which means that most working parents of 3- to 4-year-olds can claim funds towards the cost of childcare. This means 30 hours of early education and childcare in Wales for eligible parents.
Staff Well-being and Development
Staff well-being and development is a priority at Greenfields Day Nursery. We have a total of 16 members of staff with a mixture of full time and part time contracts. We take a proactive approach to well-being, rewarding hard work with incentives such as appreciation days, gift cards, and staff events. Staff development is highly regarded by Greenfields Day Nursery and the management team here are focused on consistent development for all of their staff. We believe that apprenticeships are a fantastic tool in supporting the overall development of staff alongside their literacy and numeracy skills.
