GWP Architecture

GWPA is a practice of architects, sustainability specialists, space planners, and interior designers. Founded in 1980, the practice has offices across the UK and works extensively across England, Wales, and Scotland. Our team has extensive experience across a wide range of building types, working in both the public and private sectors, including residential, affordable housing, PBSA, BTR, Co-living, extra care, healthcare, commercial, food, drink, pharmaceutical, leisure, racecourses, universities, museums, and industrial projects.

Our Approach

We believe in developing long-term relationships with our clients and working with them to deliver commercially viable projects that best respond to their requirements. We approach all projects with an open mind and never seek to impose pre-conceived ideas on a project. This approach allows the project team to properly explore and identify opportunities to add value throughout the design process. The design of sustainable, low-energy buildings is at the centre of our design philosophy, ensuring that the architecture we deliver is sustainable from inception through to completion and beyond.

Our Services

We offer a diverse range of services, including architecture, sustainability, space planning, and interior design. Our in-house Passive Haus design team has successfully delivered several Passive Haus/zero carbon solution projects, and we seek to employ sustainable strategies across all our projects, at whatever scale is deemed appropriate. We are highly successful at securing beneficial planning consents and are frequently approached to work on schemes of a complex or sensitive nature.

Conservation and Heritage

We have significant experience with Grade I, II, and II* listed structures, supported by our in-house Conservation Accredited Specialists. Our design solutions have been recognised by numerous architectural and conservation awards.
