Our portfolio showcases our expertise in a range of sectors, from education and interiors to conservation and healthcare projects.

Architecture for People

At the heart of our practice is a people-centric approach to design. We believe that architecture should enhance the lives of those who use and experience it, whether it be in a residential, commercial, or institutional setting. Our architecture is designed to inspire, uplift, and improve the quality of life for all.

Surveyors for Projects

Our team of surveyors brings a wealth of technical expertise and practical knowledge to every project. We provide comprehensive building surveys, condition surveys, and measured surveys, ensuring that the project is based on accurate and up-to-date information. Our surveyors work closely with the design team, ensuring that the project runs smoothly and efficiently.

Recent Projects

Our recent projects include the reconfiguration of the Old Wardens House at Radley College, the refurbishment of The Judges' House, 16 St Giles for St John's College, and the conservation of the historic Wesley Memorial Church in Oxford. We are currently working on a range of education, interiors, and conservation projects, demonstrating our expertise and versatility in a variety of sectors.

The L Social at Radley College is a prime example of our ability to create innovative and functional designs that meet our clients' needs. The new 5m Social building provides a home for the House Tutor and his family, as well as functional spaces for the students. The project involved the reconfiguration of the Old Wardens House, built in 1935 by two old Radleians, preserving the heritage of the building while meeting the demands of modern living and learning.

The Wesley Memorial Church in Oxford is another example of our expertise in conservation and restoration. The existing Methodist Grade II listed church and the associated meeting hall are located in the centre of Oxford where the Methodist movement was founded in 1783. The fourth phase of works completed in Autumn 2021 saw a new top-lit Heritage Atrium with a structural glass, enhancing the heritage of the building while providing a functional and welcoming space for worship and community events.

Our refurbishment of The Judges' House, 16 St Giles for St John's College, demonstrates our expertise in interiors and education projects. The project involved the refurbishment and modernisation of the historic building, creating a comfortable and functional living and learning environment for the students. The design respects the heritage of the building while incorporating modern amenities and technology.

At GBSA, we are committed to delivering exceptional design and service to our clients. We invite you to explore our portfolio and discover how we can bring your project to life.
