Our name, 4D Studio, refers to the importance of the fourth dimension or "spacetime, " combining the three spatial dimensions with time as the fourth dimension. We are three-dimensional beings, but as architects, we must imagine changes over time. Our architecture faces and adapts to the challenges of a changing world, responding to real-world problems to protect our planet and support the people who call it home. We are one of the United Kingdom's leading architectural firms, with over 25 years of award-winning work. Meet the team
Our people are crucial to delivering on our ambitions. Our team includes experienced architects and designers, including Ben Price, Architect; Cristina Ramirez, Architect RIBA ARB, Project Architect, Associate; Gloria Hii, Architectural Assistant; and Jake Muir, IT Manager. We are proud to have John Muir, Founder, Director, Architect, and Client Adviser ARB, RIBA, who founded 4D Studio, and has won architectural competitions such as Twickenham riverside redevelopment and a theatre for the International Welsh Eistedfodd. Our team also includes Mark Lyle, Architect, ARB, Designer/ Visualiser, and Marianna Bia, Project Director, Urban Designer, Deputy Chair, London & SE region at NAWIC UK & Ireland.
Mark Lyle is an experienced designer and visualisation specialist, combining architectural design with high-quality image and animation using virtual 3D modelling. This provides 4D-studio with a mechanism to test design concepts rapidly and meticulously: "Our ability to navigate these 3D models in real-time during design development, as well as simulate realistic material and lighting conditions, gives the architect an invaluable means of fully investigating the interplay of Form, Space & Light with relation to Time, the all-important - Fourth Dimension."
Marianna Bia re-joined 4D Studio in 2014 after a four-year break working for a Land Development Company. During her years with 4D studio, she had delivered many pivotal projects and has gained extensive experience in a variety of disciplines including strategic land master-planning.
