Our History
Established in the late 1930s, Fred Stevens Funeral Directors has a long and proud history of providing funeral services to the people of Stroud and surrounding areas. Originally starting as a building company, we began offering funeral services as a sideline, but by 1960, we had transitioned to become a full-time funeral directors. Over the years, we've expanded our services to include a branch office in Bussage, near Stroud, and we're now proud to offer a comprehensive range of funeral services to meet the individual needs of our clients.

Our Team
Our team is led by James Baker MBIE, Dip. FD, MBIFD, who has worked in the funeral profession since 1986. James is a qualified member of the British Institute of Embalmers and holds the NAFD Diploma in Funeral Directing. He is supported by a team of experienced and compassionate funeral directors, including James Nicholls Dip. FD, MBIFD, and Caroline Sibbald, our office manager.
