At Portess and Richardson, we are a Multi-Award winning RIBA Chartered Architects Practice established in 1938, based in Peterborough. Our team of experienced architects offers a multidisciplinary approach to architecture, specializing in the Healthcare sector, as well as working on Residential, Commercial, Education, and Conservation projects. With a strong commitment to quality, we have won several awards, including the 2015 Pinders Healthcare Design Award for our work with The Royal British Legion designing and managing their Care Home, Dunkirk Memorial House in Taunton, Somerset.

Our History

Founded in 1938 by John Portess and Frederick Richardson, our practice has evolved over the years, and today, we consist of a multidisciplinary team of architects, surveyors, and designers. Our current portfolio consists predominantly of healthcare, town centre retail, and residential projects, although we have also worked on conservation and education developments, all of which vary in size and complexity.
