Our Services

Our themed rooms take you on a journey through time, starting from millions of years ago to the present day. The Malvern Hills Room, Medieval Room, Upstairs Gallery, Water Cure Room, Victorian Room, and Twentieth Century Room are just a few of the many areas waiting to be discovered. Each room is carefully curated to provide a unique glimpse into Malvern's past, with interactive exhibits, dressing-up activities, slide shows, and audio guides that bring the history to life.

In addition to our permanent exhibits, we also offer a range of services and activities, including group visits, suggested activities, museum loan boxes, and forthcoming events. Our education team is dedicated to providing engaging and informative experiences for schools and groups, while our museum shop offers a unique range of souvenirs and gifts.

Accessibility and Inclusivity

At Malvern Museum, we strive to be inclusive and accessible to all visitors. While there is restricted access for those with mobility issues, we have implemented measures to ensure that everyone can still enjoy our exhibits. Our audio guides and PowerPoint slideshows provide an alternative way to experience the museum, and our ramp into the building and large print room guides with colour overlays cater to visitors with visual impairments.

Our Story

Malvern Museum has a long and storied history, dating back to the Benedictine Priory Gatehouse, which provided the only entrance into the monastery that lay beyond. Today, the Gatehouse is the museum's greatest artefact, housing a vast collection of rocks and minerals, medieval timbers, bottles, glass slides, prints, postcards, and social history documents. Our collections are a testament to the rich cultural heritage of Malvern, and we are committed to preserving and sharing this history with the community.
