Our History

Forresters Solicitors have a rich history that dates back to the pre-World War II era. Our founder, Robert T. Forrester, trained with Barrow firm Pickavance & Heron before leaving to work for Frank Taylor in Cornwallis Street. After the war, he continued to practice in Cornwallis Street and became well-liked and a formidable solicitor known for his criminal defence work. He was also the Superintendent Registrar of births, deaths, and marriages for Barrow for many years. Over the years, our firm has evolved, and we have welcomed new partners and solicitors who share our values and commitment to providing exceptional legal services.
