Our History

Our story began in 1921 when Richard Banks founded the business, combining his role as a taxi driver with that of an undertaker. Over the years, our family-run business has grown and evolved, with Clifford Halliwell joining the business in the 1960s and eventually taking over as managing director. Today, we are proud to be led by Brian Halliwell M.B.I.E Dip F.D, who continues to uphold the values of compassion, dignity, and respect that have defined our business for generations.
