At The Old Coppers Malt House, we pride ourselves on being one of the oldest and most historic pubs in Church Stretton. Our stunning Grade II listed building dates back to 1587, and we're dedicated to preserving its charm and character while providing exceptional service and excellent food and drink to our customers.
Our History
The Old Coppers Malt House has a rich history that spans over four centuries. Originally built as a malt house in 1587, it was later converted into a hotel in 1865. Over the years, the building has undergone several extensions, including one in 1899 that added to its eastward facade, and another in 1906 that expanded it northwards along Shrewsbury Road. Today, we're proud to be a popular destination for locals and visitors alike, offering a unique blend of history, atmosphere, and warm hospitality.
