Urbanroots opened its doors in 2010 and has since become a trusted and respected part of Ballyhackamore, Belfast. However, its reputation has spread far beyond the local area, with regular and long-standing clients coming from all over Belfast and beyond. We pride ourselves on the excellent customer service we provide, and it's no surprise that we've been awarded the 5* Client Experience Award for the 6th year running by Phorest Salon Software.

Our commitment to our clients, exceeding their expectations, and offering the ultimate client experience has helped us stand out from other salons. Throughout the years, we've become more conscious of wastage and product usage. From 2017, we've been working towards making our salon more eco-friendly. We've fitted energy-saving appliances and lighting, used reclaimed wood and sustainable recycled materials in the salon. We're proud to be partners with Green Salon Collective, SSE Airtricity, Davines, and L'Oreal Professionnel, all of whom share our commitment to sustainability.

We believe that it's not just about looking good, it's about feeling good too. That's why we're passionate about promoting a healthy planet as well as healthy hair. Our majority of products are made from natural ingredients, packaged in biodegradable materials. We always strive to stay ahead of the curve, and our commitment to sustainability is now our top priority.

Pamela Robinson

Pamela is the founder and director of Urbanroots. With 18 years of experience in the industry, Pamela has a wealth of expertise and knowledge. She is always developing her skills and education to keep up with the ever-changing hair, beauty and fashion industry. Pamela was selected to become a L'Oreal ID ARTIST and ambassador for the brand in 2016, providing two years of hands-on, world-class education in London, Leeds, and Barcelona by leading names in the hairdressing industry.

Pamela achieved a distinction in HND Hair & Beauty Management and graduated as a L'Oreal Professionnel Colour Specialist in January 2020. Her commitment and passion will continue to drive Urbanroots forward. The extensive training and industry education enable our staff to also benefit from continued professional development, ensuring clients receive a bespoke service each time they visit.
