FMB Membership Issues
Some reviewers have expressed dissatisfaction with the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) membership experience. One-Sided Complaint Process highlights the limitations faced by clients when filing complaints. The review by Lukasz Siewierski reveals that the client was provided with a limited form to file the complaint, while the FMB member was allowed to submit extensive documents and evidence. Additionally, the client was not kept informed about the progress and outcome of the complaint, whereas the FMB member was.
Another review by Darren Bull is critical of the FMB's handling of complaints and lack of action against its members. Criminal Damage and Incompetence details how Darren's parents' property was damaged by an FMB member and the subsequent lack of support from the FMB. He expresses frustration with Brian Berry, a representative of the FMB, and describes the situation as "UTTER POINTLESS" and a "COMPLETE AND UTTER INCOMPEDENCE".
On the other hand, two reviewers have reported positive experiences with the FMB. Job Leads and Business Support highlights the benefits of FMB membership for small construction businesses. Daniel Atherton praises the organization's job leads and business support, which have been particularly valuable during the pandemic. Excellent Advice notes that the FMB provided excellent advice during the pandemic.
Building Service and Member Verification
The review by Lukasz Siewierski also raises concerns about the FMB's member verification process. Shady Builders Posing as Members alleges that some FMB members may not actually provide building services, but instead use their membership to franchise their business and imply that their offices are also FMB members.
Building Location and Parking
Ian Ingamells praised the ease of finding the building and the availability of parking, highlighting Easy Location.
