Our Story
My name is Joanne, and I'm an accredited professional photographer based in Carlisle, Cumbria. My passion for photography began when I travelled the world in 2009, capturing people living in the moment and enjoying their travel experiences. Upon my return, I decided to pursue my passion and set up a home-based portrait photography studio, which has since become Studio 5. As a member of the Master Photography Association, the Federation of Small Businesses, and holding an enhanced DBS certificate, you can rest assured that you're in good hands.

Prior to focusing on photography, I was a trained veterinary nurse, which has given me a flexible and patient approach when it comes to photographing your pets.

Our newborn photo shoots are designed to be relaxed and comfortable, and I've put together some tips and advice on what to expect from your photo shoot. From booking to the final product, I'll guide you through the entire process, ensuring that you have a wonderful experience.

During your newborn photo shoot, you can expect a relaxed and comfortable experience. I'll allow 2-3 hours for the photo shoot, which may take longer or shorter depending on baby's needs. I understand that having a baby is a unique experience, and I'll work with you to ensure that your photo shoot is tailored to your needs. Whether you're looking for posed sleepy baby images or more natural shots, I'll capture those precious moments that you'll treasure for years to come.
