At Spotlight UK, we believe that every child deserves to be safe, strong, and valued. Since our inception in April 2009, we have been dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of children and young people across Basingstoke, Hampshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey, and London.
Our journey began with a simple goal: to provide low-cost activities to help increase confidence and self-esteem among children and young people. However, our vision quickly expanded, and we soon found ourselves providing emotional and practical support, as well as enjoyable and fun activities, to hundreds of children and young people across the area every year.
Our Services
We offer a range of inclusive activities, including after-school clubs, youth clubs, performing arts activities, arts and crafts, sports, outdoor activities, and trips. Our programs are designed to provide new positive memories and quality family time, helping children to build confidence, self-esteem, and social interaction. We also provide emotional and practical support for those who need it, including children who may be struggling due to domestic abuse, being in care, or having family members with mental health issues.
Our membership program is designed to make our activities available to all, with standard membership being free to join and gold membership offering additional benefits, including discounts from venues and top-up subsidized discounts from Spotlight.
Our Impact
We believe that every child should have the chance to fulfill their potential, regardless of their race, religion, ability, family status, or financial background. Through our work, we aim to provide opportunities for children to develop their confidence, self-esteem, and social interaction, while also having access to fun activities regardless of their household income.
Our impact stories demonstrate the real difference we make in the lives of children and young people, from Jessica, who found the courage to share her story thanks to the support of our team, to Macy, who overcame selective mutism and found confidence through our funded activities.
