Designing for the Future, Preserving the Past, Delivering Excellence
Stimpson Walton Bond (SWB) is a distinguished architectural firm that has been in operation since 1964, with Adrian Ringrose, a Chartered Architect, RIBA member, Architect Accredited in Conservation and Managing Director, at the helm. Our team is composed of seven dedicated professionals who bring a broad range of skills and experience to a diverse and fascinating array of projects.
Our portfolio spans various building types, including Education, Historic, Religious, Community, Healthcare, Sport, Residential, Housing, Hotel and special design projects. We also act as Principal Designers under the 2015 CDM Regulations. The value of the projects we undertake varies significantly, from minor historic repairs costing a few hundred pounds to large-scale multi-million-pound projects, including feasibility studies and master planning.
Based in Northamptonshire, we have successfully completed projects across numerous locations, including Birmingham, Cambridgeshire, Derby, Leicester, London, Mansfield, Oxford, Peterborough, and Worcestershire. Our expertise includes preparing condition reports on listed buildings and executing repairs, conservation, adaptations, and extensions. We have had the privilege of working on many historic buildings of distinction, such as Delapre Abbey, Abington Museum, Rockingham Castle, Sulgrave Manor, Northampton Guildhall, and over 120 churches in the Diocese of Peterborough, Oxford, and St Albans. Two of Northampton's most iconic landmarks, the Express Lift Tower in 1974 and the Guildhall extension in 1993, were designed by SWB.
Our philosophy is deeply rooted in a meticulous, comprehensive approach to architecture and design. We advocate for sustainable building techniques and innovative modern and conventional materials in traditional and contemporary designs. Our projects encompass a blend of historic, modern, and contemporary designs, which fosters creativity and keeps our work engaging and varied.
