Our History

Our firm's history can be traced back to the late 19th century, and we have undergone several transformations and expansions over the years. In 1962, James Mackenzie amalgamated his firm with another established practice to form Cochran Dickie & Mackenzie. Over the years, we have acquired several other practices, including Morrison Anderson & Purves and McFadyen & Semple. In 2003, we established the firm of Cochran Dickie & Mackenzie Limited, which we now operate as Cochran Dickie.

Karen Girvan

Karen is a Director in our Conveyancing Department and has extensive experience in Residential and Commercial Conveyancing. She has also dealt with drafting Wills, Powers of Attorney, Tenancy Agreements, Guardianships, and Executries, as well as Family Law.

Hazel Hamilton

Hazel is a Consultant in our Private Client Department and has extensive experience of Wills, Executries, and Powers of Attorney, as well as the ongoing administration of Trusts and Guardianships. She is a tutor in the Private Client Course of the Diploma of the Institute of Professionals in Guardianship.
