Sherlock Funeral Service was established in Dorking in 1888, and is now a fifth-generation family-run business. Our heritage is rooted in a tradition of providing exceptional service, care, and support to families in their time of need. Over the years, we have expanded our services to cater to the evolving needs of our community, while remaining committed to our core values of compassion, dignity, and respect.
Our Services
We offer a comprehensive funeral service which includes:
- Supplying and fitting the coffin complete
- Organising bearers and vehicle for removal of the deceased to Trellis House, Dorking
- Organising necessary bearers and staff for the funeral
- Making all arrangements with hospital, nursing home etc. for removal of the deceased
- Use of one of our private chapels of rest
- Use of the chapel of rest at Trellis House for a funeral service
- Last offices and hygienic treatment
- Completing all certificates and applications on client's behalf
In addition to our core services, we also offer a range of bespoke funeral arrangements, including horse-drawn hearses, dove releases, and pipers. Our experienced funeral arrangers will work closely with you to create a personalised and meaningful service that reflects the life and personality of your loved one.
