Our school is proud to be part of such a close-knit community where we strive to be the best we can be and learn together in active and exciting ways.
Our Mission and Values
At St. Mary's, we are guided by our REACH values of Respect, Enthusiasm, Aspiration, Compassion, and Honesty, which are embedded in everything we do. Our mission is to provide a nurturing and supportive environment where every child can grow and thrive, both academically and personally. We believe that every child has the potential to achieve great things, and we strive to help them discover their confidence and motivation to succeed.
Our School
For over 130 years, our school has been dedicated to providing a high-quality education to children of all ages. Our Episcopalian foundation underpins our values, and we are an inclusive school, open to all children through a placing request. We have capacity in all age groups, and there are no school fees. Our school has four classrooms, each equipped with modern interactive smart boards, and a well-equipped school play area that includes a mud kitchen, acorn cottage, and technology shed.
Our Nursery
Our Nursery is a warm and welcoming environment where children can learn and grow in a fun and stimulating way. We offer 16 places for 3-5 year olds from 9am to 3pm, five days a week during term time. Our Nursery has recently been refurbished and is a place where children can develop their social skills, make new friends, and build a strong foundation for their future education.
Our Services
We offer a range of services to support our children's learning, including outdoor learning at Holmehill, where children can engage in active and exciting learning experiences. We also have access to church grounds and the church hall, which is used for lunch, assemblies, concerts, and PE lessons. Our staff are committed to providing a high-quality education, and we strive to build valuable partnerships with parents and the community to support our children's learning.
