Unsatisfactory Experience with a Builder
Lorne Brown had a distressing experience with Martin, a builder who repaired a crack in the render on his house's external wall. Unfortunately, the repair did not meet expectations. The flaw resumed 18 months later, and when Lorne contacted Martin, he refused to take responsibility or even inspect the work. To add insult to injury, Martin has not reimbursed Lorne for the original work, which necessitates a second repair.
The builder who will now redo the job has identified the issue: a lack of surface preparation for the new render, as evidenced by the smooth edges of the repair. It's clear that Martin did not put in the effort required for a proper job.
