The Minffordd Hotel is much more than just a Snowdonia hotel. The original parts of the hotel date back over 450 years, when it was an old drover's inn. Low beamed ceilings, many original features, and a blazing log fire create an inviting and historic ambience. Situated at the base of Cader Idris Mountain with the start of the Minffordd path merely a two-minute walk away, the hotel's location is truly idyllic. It is also within the Mach Loop, a low flying jet training area, where aircraft can be seen daily flying down the valley and just above the tree line.

Our aim is to provide each guest with a memorable and comfortable stay. We offer complimentary breakfast, high-speed wifi (available in the bar only), free car parking, and seven ensuite rooms. Each room is unique in style, shape, and size, particularly in the original parts of the building which are over 450 years old. Given our focus on peace, quiet, and tranquillity, televisions have been deliberately omitted from our bedrooms.

For those looking for a lighter meal, our cafe menu is perfect, serving breakfast from 7.30 am - 8.45 am and non-guest breakfast from 9 am - 11.30 am. We are also proud to announce a new addition for 2024 - a cafe menu, serving a variety of delicious options.
