At Loughman, our vision is to turn our clients' "Vision to Reality". Founded in 1977, we have established a strong reputation in managing and self-delivering a range of disciplines that spans all aspects of highway maintenance and improvements, other infrastructure works, and building-related elements. Our delivery teams possess the necessary technical and operational skills that ensure we complete our projects safely, on time, within budget, and to a very high standard.

Our experience as Main Contractor enables Loughman to competently perform the role of Principal Contractor under the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015. We pride ourselves in the quality of the work we produce, and we continue to invest in our people and construction plant resources, which enables Loughman to provide a reliable service to our Customers.

We offer a wide range of services that cater to various industries, including:

Civil Engineering

Our strength lies in civil engineering, where we manage multi-disciplined projects using our own competent in-house personnel, supplemented by approved supply chain partners for specialist works. In addition to delivering traditional build-only schemes and term contracts, we have also developed a strong capability in design and build contracts.

Public Realm

We have delivered public realm schemes that enhance the street scene and visual appearance of local communities. Our experience in combining hard and soft landscaping is managed in a sensitive way that minimises the impact of our operations on local residents, pedestrians, cyclists, and businesses.

Highway Maintenance

We have a track record in delivering highway maintenance schemes, both as routine maintenance and planned improvements, within Local Authority road and footway networks. We have held 33 individual term maintenance contracts for London Boroughs over the past 25 years, covering highway civils, drainage, footway, and structures contracts.

Developer Services

We provide developers and house builders with a complete integrated service for undertaking Section 106 and Section 278 works. These works can be undertaken either as traditional build-only or as design and build contracts.

Sports & Play

We are experienced in providing safe and accessible sports and recreational play facilities in public and leisure areas. Our organisation is an accredited member of the Sports and Play Construction Association (SAPCA) and possesses the expertise to plan and implement schemes to a high standard of quality.

Education

We have delivered projects to education establishments in a professional and timely manner that ensures the safeguarding of young and vulnerable people at all times. Our planning and sequencing of works within educational environments are organised to reduce any impact to an absolute minimum.

Heritage

We have experience of carrying out heritage work to the satisfaction of Historic England and Local Authorities on listed structures using historic and ancient construction methods. We are committed to preserving the historical assets by planning all our works to a fine detail, so that each task and selected method of working will protect any listed buildings and features.

Building

We undertake a range of building works covering minor maintenance and improvement through to new build schemes that are constructed in accordance with the Building Regulations and standards set by Local Authority Building Control Inspectors.

Impressive Staff Behaviour
