Mador Architects is a firm of architects dedicated to creating projects that are harmoniously integrated into the natural landscape. We are deeply committed to environmental sustainability and the preservation of nature, and we strive to create buildings that not only exist in harmony with their surroundings but also enhance and celebrate the natural beauty of the landscape.
At Mador Architects, we believe that architecture should be timeless and contemporary, designed to last for generations and to evolve with the context and the individual. We work closely with our clients to provide a personalized service that takes into account the unique needs of each site and its occupants. Our work is characterized by a seamless symbiosis between the building and the landscape, achieved through the use of local and natural materials wherever possible.
In addition to our architectural practice, our principal, Charles Mador, is also devoted to conservation efforts. He is the founder of The Ark Snowdonia / Y Arch Eryri, a charity that aims to restore and protect the natural flora and fauna of the upland landscape in Snowdonia, North Wales. This commitment to sustainability and the outdoors is reflected in our work as a practice.
Since 2008, Mador Architects has built two of its own developments: Arthog Barns in Snowdonia, Wales, and Tremlett Mews in Islington, London. These developments demonstrate our commitment to restoring historic buildings for use as contemporary spaces, designed with generous proportions and built to last.
