Our History

A Step Ahead 2 was opened in 1999 by our Art Director and owner, Georgia. After establishing a successful salon in Bridport, Dorset, Georgia relocated to Wallingford and opened A Step Ahead 2. Our salon has since become a popular destination for those seeking exceptional hairdressing services in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Products

We use a wide range of products in our salon, with a focus on organic and environmentally friendly options. The products we use to care for your hair are the same ones we sell in our salon, so you can continue to care for your hair at home with the same high-quality products we use in our salon. Some of the brands we carry include Joico, GHD, L'Oreal, Cloud Nine, and Rituals.

Weddings

Planning a wedding can be stressful, but the team at A Step Ahead 2 is here to help. We offer a range of wedding packages to help you look and feel your best on your big day. We recommend a trial run before the wedding to ensure that we have all the details right, including the veil, headdress, and any other accessories you plan to wear in your hair. We can even come to your home for the trial run, provided we receive adequate notice.

Our prices are dependent on the specific work or treatment carried out and the level of stylist. Indicative prices from our price list are as follows:

• Styling: Restyle from 70.00, Cut & Blow Dry from 58.00, Blow Dry from 30.00, Ladies Wash & Cut from 47.00, Gents Wash & Cut from 28.00, Children's Wash & Cut from 17.00
• Colouring: Semi Colour from 60.00, Root Tint from 60.00, Easi Meche: Parting from 50.00, Half head from 95.00, Whole head from 110.00, Whole head on long hair from 125.00
• Perms: Short to shoulder length from 70.00, Shoulder to long length from 120.00
• Hair Up: Hair Up from 35.00
• All other services, price on request.

Find Us

Our salon is located in the pedestrianized part of St Mary's Street, in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. Once you are in the middle of the shopping area of Wallingford, you should find yourself in Market Place. If you stand with the Town Hall to your right and Lloyds Bank in front of you, the pedestrian part of St Mary's Street leads off to your left.
