Escape and relax in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park

The Kestrel Inn, situated in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park, is a traditional country Bed and Breakfast that has been lovingly restored to offer comfortable and relaxing accommodation to our guests. Our beautiful B&B was originally built as a coaching stop on the main route from London to Fishguard, and was first named 'The Halfway Inn' due to its equidistant location from Brecon and Abergavenny.

Our Story

After being closed for nearly 10 years, we took on the challenge of renovating and resurrecting The Kestrel Inn, breathing new life into this historic building. Over a period of 12 months, we worked tirelessly with local trades and specialists to bring the pub back to its former glory. Our family, including our three children, Ben, Alexander, and Annabel, were passionate about creating a unique and welcoming atmosphere that would showcase the best of Welsh hospitality.

Our Services

At The Kestrel Inn, we pride ourselves on offering a range of services to make your stay with us truly unforgettable. Our beautifully decorated en-suite bedrooms are the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park. In the evenings, join us in our cozy bar and enjoy a range of artisan drinks, fine wines, and delicious meals made from scratch on the premises. From hearty breakfasts to mouth-watering dinners, our chefs use only the freshest ingredients to create dishes that are both tantalizing and satisfying.
