Pricing Disappointment
The first reviewer, Keith Finlayson, was displeased with the pricing of their meal at the hotel. Despite the high prices, they found the quality of the food to be subpar and expected to receive better service. They mentioned that the server was not attentive and did not follow up to ensure everything was satisfactory.
Poor Pool Experience
Brian Maxwell, on the other hand, had a mixed experience at the hotel. While they enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere upon arrival, they were disappointed with the cold pool temperature, which made it difficult for their young children to enjoy. They also mentioned that the pool area needed improvement, citing damaged vents and poor silicone. Furthermore, they discovered mouse droppings in their initial room, which was unsettling.
Restaurant and Room Issues
Rory Carson had a more pleasant experience, visiting the hotel for afternoon coffee after a long absence. He was impressed with the transformation and plans to update his review after trying the restaurant. Meanwhile, Barbara Junkin had a negative experience with her scone, which was Bluemoulded, and she did not receive a refund. Nigel Kinnaird, on the other hand, had a great experience with a lovely meal, despite feeling slightly rushed at the end.
Positive Experience
Author Elizabeth Burns had a wonderful time attending a guidedogs meet and greet event at the hotel, praising the service, food, and ambiance. She highlighted the hotel's commitment to safety and accessibility.
