Glasgow South Dental Care is a well-established dental practice located in the heart of Glasgow's vibrant Shawlands area. Our newly designed ground floor practice offers easy access to patients, making it convenient for those with mobility issues or families with young children. At our practice, we prioritise our patients' comfort and provide a comprehensive range of NHS and private dental treatments, delivered to the highest standard by our professional and experienced dental team.

Our staff are fully accredited by the General Dental Council, and we have a special interest in treating nervous patients and family groups.

Our Team

Our dental team comprises of experienced and dedicated professionals.

Chris Mcilwaine, our practice principal and owner, has been working in the practice since 2007, taking over as owner in 2012. Chris is committed to providing excellent patient care and has an interest in aesthetic dentistry, implant restorative treatments, and digital dentistry.

Sandra Paul graduated from Glasgow University Dental School in 1997 and has been working in busy NHS practices for over 20 years. She joined Glasgow South Dental Care in 2012 and has a keen interest in providing quality dental care.

Tracy Wighton, the longest-serving dentist at the practice, joined us in 1997. She qualified from the University of Edinburgh in 1988 and has had experience working both in the UK and abroad.

Lesley Walker joined the practice in 2018 after returning from living in the USA for several years. She qualified from the University of Glasgow in 1997 and has experience working in general practices in South Glasgow.

Our dental team is supported by trained clinical dental nurses and a practice manager, ensuring a high level of patient care.
