Jc Cleaners

JC Cleaners is the oldest part of THE JC GROUP, and it's a proud story that began back in 1979 in Bath. Our founder, Chris Symonds, started a mobile cleaning service with steam cleaning and sand blasting, including industrial and domestic cleaning. When Alan moved to Melksham in 1985, he bought JC Cleaners and continued where they left off in Bath. Today, we are a purpose-built facility dedicated to shot blasting, spraying, and steam cleaning, capable of handling most tasks that come our way.

Our History

Our story begins with a young Alan Johnson, who completed his training at the highly respected LEX College of Bristol. Alan then went on to work at several garages in Bath and Bristol, progressing quickly to foreman roles before deciding to take the big step and go self-employed. Alan set up a workshop in a small garage at the bottom of his parents' garden in Bathford in the 1970s, building his own client base and earning a good reputation. This eventually led to the opening of a garage in Weymouth Street, just off London Road in Bath, called D.A.J MOTORS. When the opportunity arose to purchase THE JC CLEANERS and the then-called MOT D.I.Y garage in Bowerhill Melksham, Alan saw the long-term potential and seized it.

We believe that this approach works well, as many of our team members started as apprentices and are now fully qualified and experienced.
