Frequently Asked Questions

We are often asked a number of questions relating to our gas boiler service and boiler service plans. Here are some of our most frequently asked questions and our responses:

  • What parts of the system are covered by the plan? Boiler parts, room thermostats, hot water and frost thermostats, time clock or programmer.
  • What are not covered by the plans? Some component parts that may fail through initial installation issues or natural wear and tear, boilers greater than 70kW, commercial boilers, existing faults with the boiler or controls, and boiler condensate pipe work, leaking, broken or frozen system flushes.
  • How do you carry out a care plan inspection? If we find something wrong with your system or appliance during the initial safety inspection, we will inform you of the work required to be done and provide you with an estimate of the likely cost to carry out the work required. We may have to take action to "make safe" the installation.
  • What happens if I don't sign up for a care plan after the inspection? If we carry out the yearly safety and performance inspection during the initial visit and do not accept you on to our Care Plan, an invoice will be sent to cover the cost of the service.
