Martenscroft Nursery School & Children's Centre

As Headteacher, it gives me great pleasure on behalf of all the staff, children, parents and governors, to warmly welcome you to our wonderful school. Our school serves the community of Hulme by providing Outstanding full-time nursery provision to 3 and 4 year olds, and early education for children aged 5 months+. We pride ourselves on our high quality provision and excellent outdoor areas. We've gone to great lengths to create an inspiring environment that ensures the best possible start for your children, and feels like a home-from-home place for our families and team.

Our Team of Expert Early Years Practitioners

Our team of Early Years experts nurture, care for all children and provide them with the best possible start to their education. We personalise our curriculum to ensure it reflects the children's interest and next steps, to make sure that all children make excellent progress. Our staff are dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment that promotes the emotional, social, physical and cognitive development of our children.

Our Curriculum

We believe that children learn best through play and exploration, so our curriculum is designed to provide a fun and engaging learning experience. Our curriculum is built around the interests and needs of our children, ensuring that every child makes excellent progress and achieve their full potential.

Early Education

We understand the importance of early education and its impact on a child's future. That's why we offer early education from 5 months to 4 years. Our nursery class provision for 3 to 4 year olds is designed to provide a smooth transition into full-time education.

Children's Centres

Our team of experienced staff work across the children's centres to support families and deliver a wide range of activities to the community. The neighbourhood children's centres are based in Martenscroft Nursery School, Moss Side and Rushholme.
