At E.J. Gumery & Son, we have been proudly serving the city of Worcester and surrounding areas for over 150 years. Established in 1870, we are a family-owned and managed business, and we know that this will reflect in our service to you at this difficult time.
Our Role as Funeral Directors
As funeral directors, we will help and guide you through all the decisions that need to be made. We will contact all parties on your behalf (ministers, cemeteries, and crematoria) and provide all the staff necessary to ensure that every final detail is attended to, both before, on the day, and after the funeral. We are available to give personal service at any time of the day or night, at weekends, and on Bank Holidays. Once we have been notified of a death, everything can be left safely in our care, with the exception of registration.
Our Services
We offer a range of services to help you through this difficult time, including arranging and conducting funerals, providing a range of coffins and caskets, and helping you to plan and prepare for the funeral service. We also offer pre-payment plans, which allow you to plan and pay for your funeral in advance, giving you peace of mind and financial security. Additionally, we can assist with charitable donations, and provide guidance on registering a death and obtaining death certificates.
