Our Story
Blue Lily Magnolia was born in 2014, when our founder, Sharon, decided to turn her passion for textiles and design into a career. With a background in Textile Design and a passion for creating unique pieces, Sharon started by making beautiful flowers out of fabric, lace, brooches, and buttons. This soon evolved into creating bespoke wedding bouquets, bridal sashes, hair accessories, corsages, and other headpieces for special occasions. As the business grew, Sharon expanded her services to include bespoke dressmaking for formal occasions and weddings, as well as alterations for everyday wear.

About Sharon
Sharon Lam Gilding, the founder of Blue Lily Magnolia, is a talented textile designer and maker with over 30 years of experience in experimenting with fabrics and textiles. With a First Class degree in Textile Design from the University of Leeds and postgraduate degrees in Textiles, Sharon's passion for textiles has only grown stronger over the years. With a background in developing new products in large corporations, Sharon decided to leave the corporate world behind to pursue her dream of creating unique, bespoke pieces that bring joy to her clients.
