Established in 1988, DP Architects is a well-established architectural firm located in the picturesque town of Watlington, Oxfordshire, on the edge of the Chilterns. Our team of dedicated Chartered Architects, Designers, Planners, and Technologists are committed to delivering high-quality design and architectural services that cater to our clients' specific needs.

At DP Architects, we provide a comprehensive range of services, from initial feasibility studies and masterplanning to detailed working drawings, tender processes, and contract administration. Our expertise includes interior design detailing, development and design consultancy, enhancing existing planning permissions, initial planning and feasibility reports, complex and challenging sites, Passivhaus and sustainable design, conservation and listed buildings, masterplanning, barn conversions and Class Q Green Belt design, as well as permitted development and Certificates of lawfulness.

Our Team

Our team is comprised of highly skilled professionals with a wealth of experience in the industry. Our Principal Director, Mark Longworth, is a Chartered member of the RIBA and has extensive planning and design experience. Mark has a particular interest in historic restoration projects, new dwelling design, Arts & Crafts, Art Deco, and Contemporary Design, as well as promoting Passivhaus in affordable housing projects. Mark is also actively involved in local social causes and community representation.

Stewart Green, one of our Directors, is a Chartered Architectural Technologist with over 30 years of experience. His areas of specialty and interest include one-off bespoke contemporary and traditional design, barn conversions, listed buildings, and conservation/restoration work. In his spare time, Stewart enjoys cooking, growing chillies and Bonsai trees, collecting vinyl, and keeping fit.

James Kestell-Cornish, another Director, is a Chartered Architectural Technologist with a broad level of experience. James has extensive knowledge of sustainable construction methods, meticulous attention to detail, and a contractual background that adds value to any development. Outside of work, James enjoys the outdoors and coaching grassroots football.

Amanda Walker, a Director with over 20 years of experience as a qualified Architect, specialises in planning and is an accomplished designer. She has extensive knowledge of conservation architecture and has worked on numerous extensions and refurbishments of listed buildings. In addition, Amanda is a volunteer for STEMnet, an organisation that encourages the study of STEM subjects in both junior and senior schools.
