Situated in the heart of Derbyshire, Golden Valley Equestrian Centre spans over 47 acres of picturesque grassland, adjacent to the border of Nottinghamshire. Our centre boasts a start-of-the-art, purpose-built stable block designed to accommodate 20 horses, along with state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor arenas, perfect for equestrian events and daily riding activities.
At Golden Valley Equestrian Centre, we prioritise the safety and well-being of all our horses and ponies. Our facilities are equipped with full CCTV coverage, providing on-site security and constant monitoring. Our staff are present seven days a week, ensuring that every horse is well looked after and any concerns are addressed promptly. Our premises are accessible via wide, lorry-friendly gates, fitted with a key code system for added security.
Facilities and Arena Hire
Our centre is home to three exceptional arenas, including a large outdoor arena (60 x 40m), a 60 x 20m dressage arena, and a spacious indoor arena (70 x 35m) with mirrors and windows. All our arenas boast a wax fiber silica sand surface, providing optimal riding conditions for both horses and riders.
The arenas are available for hire between 8 AM and 6 PM, seven days a week. We also offer late-night arena hires on certain days, extending until 10 PM. Please contact us for further details. Our indoor arena is equipped with mirrors and windows, providing a bright and inspiring environment for riders of all levels.
Additionally, our outdoor parkland is enclosed with post and rail fencing, offering safe-grazing for all liveries. With numerous bridle-paths and off-road hacking routes for miles, you can explore the beautiful countryside and enjoy a change of scenery from the arenas.
Livery Services
At Golden Valley Equestrian Centre, we offer full (7 day) and part (5 day) livery packages. Each stable (12 x 12 ft) is fitted with insulated rubber matting, automatic water feeders, hay racks, drop-down saddle racks, and rug racks. Each livery is allocated an individual storage locker and rug storage space in the rug room, minimising the need for regular transportation of tack and belongings.
Our livery services include daily mucking out, ad-lib hay and water clean-outs, and turnout or use of the horse walker, depending on weather and ground conditions. Full liveries have access to all our excellent facilities, including the indoor and outdoor arenas, round pen, and wash-down area.
Bespoke livery packages are also available, offering a wide range of services such as daily ridden exercise, veterinary and farrier appointments, grooming, and rug changing. Lorries and trailers can be kept on the premises by arrangement.
Events
Golden Valley Equestrian Centre hosts a variety of equestrian events throughout the year, including Unaffiliated Showjumping 2024, Working Hunter Competition, and In Hand and Ridden Showing. Our central Derbyshire location, coupled with our state-of-the-art facilities, make us an ideal venue for hosting equestrian events of all kinds.
