The Altorfer Story

Altorfer, a company that has been serving its clients for over thirty years, was founded in 1990 by its Non-Executive Chairman, Roger Taylor. Starting from a borrowed desk in a Waltham Cross accountant's office, the company has grown steadily over the years and now manages and advises on client assets amounting to 263.5m (as at 31st December 2023). This equates to a weekly growth of over 153,000 for thirty-three years.

The company has seen many changes over the years, including moving into its own premises at 5 Regent Gate, Waltham Cross in 1991, and purchasing the freehold of 9 Regent Gate in late 2020, which trebled the available space for its growing number of employees. Altorfer has always grown carefully and organically, without advertising, buying client banks, or establishing arrangements with other professionals such as solicitors or accountants. The company's new clients come almost exclusively on the recommendation of existing clients, allowing Altorfer to manage its client base with the greatest care and attention.

Altorfer now has a staff of thirteen employees, all of whom are highly qualified for their respective roles and undergo constant training. The current executive directors of the company have all progressed to their roles from within the company. The Board of directors has combined experience of about 85 years within Altorfer alone. Altorfer is now more than 50% owned by its employees, which has led to a high level of stability, continuity, and motivation among the staff to provide the best long-term service to clients.

*Paraplanners*

Our paraplanners provide support to the financial planners and are responsible for preparing financial plans and reports. They have a detailed understanding of financial products and regulations.

Our administrators provide administrative support to the entire team and are responsible for managing client relationships, processing paperwork, and ensuring that the company runs smoothly.
