Welcome to Manor House Nursery, a unique and stimulating nursery set in a wonderful woodland park in Margate, Kent. We are a family-run organisation, owned and operated by Sean and Jayne Sheerin, with a passion for delivering exceptional early years education. Since opening in 2008, we have been rated outstanding in all areas by Ofsted, a testament to our commitment to providing a loving, secure, and stimulating environment for children to grow and develop.
Our Philosophy
At Manor House Nursery, we believe that early years education should be about the whole child, encompassing the head, the hand, and the heart. We strive to offer a holistic approach to learning, where children can explore, discover, and develop their skills and abilities in a warm and welcoming environment. Our qualified, professional staff are dedicated to providing a nurturing and supportive atmosphere, where children can feel secure and valued.
Our Services
We offer a range of services designed to meet the needs of children from birth to five years old. Our nursery is divided into different age groups, each with its own tailored programme of activities and experiences. Our Woodland Nursery is designed for children aged 2-3 years, while our Kindergarten caters for children aged 3-5 years. We also offer a Forest School, where children can engage in outdoor learning and exploration, and a Holiday Club, providing childcare during school holidays.
In addition to our nursery and educational services, we also offer a range of support services for parents, including nutrition and health advice, settling-in support, and regular progress reports. We believe that building strong relationships with our families is essential to providing the best possible start for their children.
Meet the Team
Our team of over 60 qualified and experienced staff are dedicated to providing exceptional care and education for our children. Our managers have been selected for their unique skills and experience, and our staff-to-child ratio ensures that every child receives the individual attention and support they need. We are proud to employ male practitioners, providing positive role models for our children, and our full-time SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) is on hand to provide additional support for children with special needs.
Awards and Accolades
We are proud to have been recognised for our outstanding achievement in early years education. Our awards include Nursery World UK Practitioner of the Year 2013, Nursery World UK Nursery of the Year 2014, and Ofsted outstanding ratings in all areas since 2008.
