Building a better future, one building at a time

At Article 25, we are a UK-based architectural Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) that specialises in designing and building high-quality hospitals, schools, and homes in some of the most challenging and remote locations around the world. With over 100 projects completed in 35 countries, we have a proven track record of delivering innovative and sustainable solutions that have a lasting impact on local communities.

Our Approach

At Article 25, we believe that effective project management is key to delivering successful projects that meet the needs of local communities. That's why we take a holistic approach to our work, starting with extensive community engagement and co-designing each project with the community who will be using the building. We also use local materials and expertise wherever possible, training local people in new construction techniques and empowering them to maintain and repair their own community assets.

What We Do

We are experts in construction in challenging environments, from remote locations to areas prone to natural disasters. We ensure that our buildings are sustainable, both environmentally and economically, and draw on and improve local skills. We work closely with NGOs and governments to deliver high-quality buildings that have a lasting impact on local communities.

Our Vision and Mission

Our vision is to improve access to healthcare, education, and shelter across the Global South. Our mission is to deploy our professional skills as architects and project managers to make this happen. We believe that everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for their health and well-being, and we are committed to making this vision a reality.

Our Impact

We have completed over 100 building projects in 35 countries around the world, tackling challenges like earthquake risks, remote locations, extreme weather, and unreliable power supplies. Our projects have transformed the lives of thousands of people, providing them with access to healthcare, education, and shelter.

How We Are Funded

We are a non-profit charity that keeps our design and management costs significantly lower than commercial rates. We secure significant pro-bono expertise to work on our projects, and pass the saving directly onto our NGO partners. We believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality buildings, regardless of their location or financial means.

Join Us

If you are an architect, engineer, contractor, or other organisation working in the construction industry, we would love to hear from you. We are members of the UN Global Compact and the UN Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction, which commits us and our projects to a vision of a zero-emission, efficient, and resilient future for the buildings and construction sector worldwide.
