Our History

The Black Boy Inn has a rich and fascinating history, having been known as the 'King's Arms' prior to 1828. The inn has welcomed guests for centuries, providing them with a cosy and welcoming place to rest after a long day of travel. Today, the Black Boy Inn continues to uphold its reputation for excellent hospitality, offering 47 unique guest rooms, a celebrated restaurant, and warm, personalised service from our friendly staff.

Our Rooms

Each of our 47 guest rooms is individually styled and equipped with private bathrooms and free Wi-Fi. Whether you're looking for a cosy single room or a spacious suite, we have a range of options to suit your needs. All of our rooms are non-smoking and, while we love furry friends, we are unable to accommodate dogs within the building (except guide/assistance dogs).
