Our Founder

Suraj, our founder, has an intuitive understanding of architectural and spatial potential, with a keen eye for structural behavior of materials. He designs with both aesthetics and practicality in mind, favoring simple and contemporary designs that express clarity of form and structure.

Suraj has extensive experience across a wide range of projects, including private homes, developer flats, restaurants, retail projects, office buildings, and train stations. His projects have varying budgets, from 100,000 to 400M, demonstrating his versatility and capability.

Before starting Motion Architecture, Suraj worked at Alsop Architects, Skidmore Owings Merrill, and TP Bennett. His experience includes working on the Thames Link 2000 Blackfriars and London Bridge Stations masterplans and detailed design. He was also involved in the detailed design of a striking 11 storey modern office building in the City of London and a 90,000sq.ft mixed-use development in Tottenham Court Road.

Suraj Vithlani is a member of the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) and ARB (Architects Registration Board). In his free time, Suraj used to be a semi-professional moto-cross racer in India, where he achieved podium finishes in his first two races.
