Our History
Mount Vernon Engineering Co (Glgw.) Ltd was founded in 1974 by shareholders and directors John Graham and Ronnie Mason in a small workshop in Mount Vernon, in the East End of Glasgow. The company expanded over the years, relocating to a 12,000 sq ft factory in Rutherglen, Glasgow in 1987, and again to our current location in Hamilton, just outside Glasgow in 2007. Our present workshop is a 22,000 sq ft factory that was extensively adapted to suit the company's current and future requirements.
Our Facilities
Our Hamilton site, situated within Cadzow Industrial Estate, is now the base for all our operations including Shot blasting and Painting facility. Our facilities include Office accommodation, Production Welfare facilities, Stores and Fabrication Workshop, Drilling/Machining Area, Shot blast and Painting Area, and Storage Yard Area. Our Offices accommodate our Quality, Materials and Purchasing, Design, Draughting, Production Engineering, Accounts and Administration processes as well as provide working space for clients' representatives and inspectors when required.
