Our Bars
At Matties, we offer a unique experience by combining the traditional and modern in our bars. Our original bars, known as "Boxes", each offer their own ambience, and are perfect for a quiet drink or a lively gathering. Our entrance hall, or "Wee Room", features an open fire and a 50" TV, making it an ideal spot to enjoy the rugby or other sporting events. In our lounge area, we serve our bar meals and provide entertainment, creating a welcoming space for all.
Our Function Room
Our upstairs Function Room is available for private functions and can cater for up to thirty people, making it perfect for birthday and anniversary parties. With a warm and inviting atmosphere, it's the perfect space to celebrate special occasions.
Our Food
We pride ourselves on our great value home-cooked bar meals, which keep people coming back time and time again. Our menu includes traditional pub food favourites, as well as signature dishes like Boxer Jim's Guinness Pie and Matties Chicken, with a Bushmills Whiskey, cream and spring onion sauce. On Fridays, we offer Steak Night, featuring prime local Sirloin Steak, chips, onion rings & vegetables for just 9.95. And every Sunday, you can enjoy a delicious Roast.
Live Music
We take live music seriously at Matties. Every Saturday night, we offer a variety of musicians, from acoustic sessions to a full five-piece band. These sessions are perfect whether you want to enjoy a pint of our renowned Guinness, spend time in our traditional bars, or have some food from our extensive menu. On Thursdays, you can enjoy the talents of our local musicians with an acoustic folk singing session.
