Our Story

The pub, managed by the charismatic duo of Terry and Melody, has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years. After eight months of closure, it was refurbished entirely, reopening in May 2012 to widespread acclaim.
Since then, the Woodmancote has established itself as a beloved local institution, serving up home-cooked fare that caters to a wide range of tastes and budgets. From fresh fish and hearty Sunday roasts to innovative vegetarian options and decadent sharing platters, there is something for everyone on the menu. The 50-seater restaurant is also available for private functions, making it an ideal venue for weddings, parties, and other special events.
Our Menus
The Woodmancote offers a range of menus to suit every occasion. For those early birds, our breakfast menu features classic dishes like eggs benedict, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, and a full English breakfast, among other offerings. Our lunch menu features a range of sandwiches, salads, and main courses, including favourites like fish and chips and burgers.
For those with a sweet tooth, our dessert menu offers a range of indulgent treats, including sticky toffee pudding, chocolate brownie, and a selection of cheeses. Our a la carte menu boasts a range of dishes perfect for a night out, including starters, main courses, sides, and sharing platters. We also offer a dedicated Sunday menu, featuring a selection of delicious roasts.
Our Services
In addition to our in-house dining options, the Woodmancote offers a range of services tailored to meet the needs of our customers. We are welly boot and dog friendly, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere for those looking to enjoy a drink or a meal after a long walk. We serve breakfast from 10 am and offer our a la carte menu from 12 pm onwards, seven days a week.
We also host popular quiz nights on the first and third Tuesday of every month, which are always great fun and offer the chance to win cash prizes.
