Our Story
Founded in Belfast in 2003, Arco String Quartet was formed by husband and wife team Clare and Richard Hadwen, who met while members of The Ulster Orchestra. Since our formation, we have firmly established ourselves in the Northern Ireland music industry, gaining a reputation for our high-quality musical entertainment and exceptional service.

Our Expertise
All our players are graduates of major music conservatories in England and Ireland and have performed all over the world, with orchestras including The Ulster Orchestra, The RTE National Symphony Orchestra, and The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic. We have also recorded and performed with many outstanding internationally celebrated artists, including Foy Vance, And So I Watch You From Afar, and Villagers.
