Our Story
We launched Policy Expert in 2011 with a mission to shake up the insurance industry. We believed that insurance had become stale and complacent, and we wanted to create a different kind of insurance company that truly puts people first. Ease of Use
Most customers found it easy to purchase a policy through Policy Expert, with some mentioning that the process was quick and simple. The website was also praised for being easy to navigate, and setting up direct debits was a straightforward process.
Claims Process
However, there are some negative comments regarding the claims process. Elizabeth Higgs experienced difficulties getting her claim paid out, citing that Policy Expert subcontracted claims processing to another company, Trinity Claims, and that Policy Expert refused to take responsibility for the issue. Loz Brook and Ross Ned also reported difficulties with getting their claims paid out, with Loz Brook describing the advisor she spoke to as "rude, sanctimonious and didn't listen" and Ross Ned stating that Policy Expert refused to pay him a penny even though his home was damaged in a mini tornado.
Customer Service
While some customers praised the customer service, saying that advisors were helpful and friendly, there were also instances of poor service. Loz Brook described the advisor she spoke to as "unprofessional" and "sanctimonious", and James Barnes mentioned that Policy Expert used a linked company to avoid paying valid claims.
Value for Money
Some customers found Policy Expert to be good value for money, with lower premiums and comprehensive coverage. However, others were not satisfied with the level of coverage they received.
