Welcome to Aberhyddnant Farm Cottages, a place where you can unwind and get back to nature. Our green and organic farm is located in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park, offering a tranquil retreat for families, couples, and pet owners. With two comfortable cottages, plenty of animals to see and play with, and an array of activities to enjoy, Aberhyddnant Farm Cottages is the perfect destination for those seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Our Farm

Aberhyddnant is a 200-acre family-run, organic farm. We keep beef cattle, sheep, a few hens and have two holiday cottages. Our family first moved to the farm from Atherstone in 1983 and together worked to rebuild a long-neglected farm into a productive area of land able to support the family and conserve the beautiful local countryside. We strive to be self-sufficient, producing our own feed for the horses and livestock, our own meat and eggs for the house and for sale, and growing our own vegetables. We have even installed a Micro-Hydro unit to supply electricity, solar thermal water heating, and a biomass batch boiler with all the logs used for fuel coming from fallen trees or thinnings.

Glamping and Cottages

Our two cottages, Bryniau Pell and Hill Cottage, offer family-friendly accommodation with loads of fun activities for children on the farm. We welcome well-behaved pets by arrangement, and each cottage is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Our glamping options offer a unique and memorable experience, with electric hook-ups available using our micro-hydro system.

Things to Do

There are plenty of things to see and do during your stay at Aberhyddnant Farm Cottages. Take long walks or short strolls from your doorstep, taking in the best our National Park has to offer. Meet and play with our friendly animals, collect eggs for supper, or melt marshmallows over the campfire. For those seeking adventure, try sheep trekking, bring your horse, or explore the local area on foot or by bike. There are plenty of opportunities for birdwatching, stargazing, and wildlife spotting.

Our Green Policy

We are committed to being as green as possible. Utilising any resources that we have available on the farm. We have implemented several measures to reduce our carbon footprint, including the use of renewable energy sources, such as solar power and biomass. We encourage our guests to do their part by recycling and conserving energy during their stay. Our electric car owners can take advantage of our free charging facilities using our micro-hydro produced electricity.

Getting Here

We are located just a couple of miles off the A4067 Sennybridge to Swansea road about 5.5 miles south of Sennybridge, which is, in turn about 10 miles west of Brecon. If you have any questions or require further information, please don't hesitate to contact us.
